Enjoying my motherhood !

1st day..look at her head..a bit out of shape..and the hair was very dirty..
After one week..she changed quite a lot..

Maintenance Period = Confinement Period

Now is time for me to relax and eat well. My mum is really great..she cooks a lot of good food for me..She even follow the recipe for confinement mummy..she went simseh to get all the herbs and boil soup for me..she is caring and really a good helper..I thank Jesus that I can have her with me during this period..especially at night, as usual..baby will wake up a few times..some time she didn't sleep for 3 hours..and we have to take turn to carry her, just to make sure that she does not make so much noise that will wake up our neighbour and HuiXian...

I started the Malay massage yesterday..today is 2nd day..it is a right decision..it really relax me from the tireness for one hour plus..there is burning sensation when she massaage me..I can even feel that she was trying to push all the fats or trying to make the fat soften..not very sure..but she is slim and she told me that she wrap herself for 40 days during her confinement..I pray hard that I will slim down.

Breastfeeding, it is tiring but really a great feeling..only mother who experience it understand what I mean..Now the milk flow is good..can store up in fridge..might have to throw some of the milk if Qizhen can't finish..

Yong Qi Zhen Vera is delivered 9 May 06, at 0344, 3.12kg

Finally the had came..1st day not working..got shows in the afternoon..at around 3pm..quickly ate a boiled egg, a bottle of chicken essence and my usual lingzi and pollen before heading to hospital..no contraction pain..

reached hospital with HuiXian at 3.30pm, doctor checked and confirmed that I can be admitted because dilation was 3 cm..after registration..4.30pm already in labor ward waiting for further dilation..

finally, I could not stand the pain and requested for epidural..that was about 9.30pm..after epidural..pain was reliefed..waited for dialtion again for another 5 hours..2am, 9 May 2006, started to push..husband and the senior mid wife were really supportive..without them, I don't think I can do it..344am Qizhen is delivered..the whole project completed..

39 weeks check up

Yesterday went for routine check-up..the whole process took me only 10 minutes..even shorter than last week..I waited for my uni friend, who had to do scanning..She came with her husband..she still looks pretty..very interesting to see each other with big tummy..we chat for about 15minutes..than the nurse called her for scaning and blood test..Her husband took a few photos for us..hopefully she will send to me soon..it was really a good memory..

Doctor said if next week still not deliver, they have to scan and measure baby heartbeat to find out whether it's time for baby to be delivered..the most they can give me allowance of 1 week after EDD of 11 May 06..if QiZhen still refuse to come out..they have to induce the birth..pray hard that everything would be fine..seriously speaking, I still don't have any feeling of laboring..only feel tire and legs pain..some time I will feel the tummy is bursting..

Swelling? 39 weeks tummy..big?

My best friends wedding dinners

All happy event happened in May 2006. My colleague's wedding on 7 May 06 and 14 May 06, and my EDD is on 11 May 06. End up we can't attend each other happy and wonderful event. In fact, already have 2 beautiful dresses for their wedding..now, no chance to wear them..so sad : (

I am working everyday, as if that it would be my last day in the office.. : ) 今日不知明日事。don't know when will I give birth to Qizhen..

祈真有了英文名字了。 是牧师给的名字。蛮好听的一个名字，也不是那么多人在用，最重要的是意识和中文名字很接近。都是真理的意识。现在暂时不告诉大家 ：）

Lower back started to feel pain and tire..backache getting more and more serious..my appetite become bigger..eating non-stop..yesterday was Labor Day..whole day stayed at home..quite bored..Now in the office..working as usual : )
