First day in school!

2 Jan 2008, Vera started her first day life in Child Care centre. I accompanied her for the 1st day programme. Normally for the first few days, toddlers are required to stay for half a day only. The care givers to toddlers propotion is good, about 1:2 for toddlers. Many of the toddlers are first timer, crying is normal. But, with parents around normally they are fine with the activities. Teacher brought them to out door play ground..using a string with many rings for holding. Kids will need to hold one ring to follow teacher..very interesting.

Vera, as usual very active at the playground. Running very fast untill she accidentally hit the equipment..she cried for short while only.

The nap time and milk time are totally change..so first day Vera was very sleepy..

I saw kids with flu (already turn yellowish). Quite worry that Vera will get infected. Thank God that I have started to give her 1 capsule of supreme lingzi every night 2 weeks before she start the child care life. Now, she is still healthy and we pray for her health almost daily at night and before sending her to school in the morning.

Now already two weeks, she is used to the environment. She stays there from 7am to 7pm..
My mum is now in Kulai..enjoying her break..May our Lord continue to strengthen her faith and spiritual she will grow, amen!

What's your favourite animal at the zoo?

We went to zoo on new year day. It was not very crowded, surprisingly. Vera and us enjoyed it very much. It was a tiring journey because the day before we went to church for mid-night thanks giving service. HX almost gave up to go to zoo..Vera likes monkeys, and elephants. She acted like monkey and make sound of monkey too. She loves to watch the elephant splash at the elephant show. But we think that the elephant show is chicken feet as compare with Thailand's elephant performance. To us, the elephant show is bored.

We went lunch at KFC, the restaurant at the inner part of the zoo (not the one at entrance). It was very crowded at lunch time. I took more than half an hour to get our food ready..

The weather was just nice on that day, thank God. Not sunny and not rainy. We took a picture and bought it at S$18 (as shown). Quite a nice piece that's why I bought it. We do not have many family picture because it is quite tough to take a nice family picture.

Vera is learning very fast!

I am very surprise to see her learning curve skewing so high..I showed her and teach her using many method. She didn't seems like interested long for one way of teaching..so, almost everyday, I will introduce a new things to her and repeat the same for another weeks..I thought that she is not keen in learning. But, to our surprise, I put the 26 letters flash cards on the floor and tested her. She is able to pick up the cards I say..almost 20 cards..I must catch her learning period fast enough so that she can learn more things during this period..my mum says I am kiasu...haa..haa..I think I am and I would like to have fun at the same time spend time with her and at the same time teach her new things so that we are not wasting time..

2nd pregnancy check up!

Yesterday was my hubby's birthday. He is 34 this year..time flies really fast : ) I choiced this date to do scanning so that in the evening we can go dating for short period. We went for Japanese restaurant after that we went to shop..bought durian from Bugis village..

The first check up took 2 hours to complete. Other than registration, routine check, blood test, consult doctor, also went for scanning. Too bad the doctor no time (i guess coz the clinic is very crowded) to check for the gender..I am struggling whether to have baby girl or boy..We really have to leave it to God to decide because only He knows what is the best for us. As for us, we just wait patiencely and welcome the new baby. For the time being, my husband is praying very hard for 2 names..I leave it to him to name the child :p. To my surprise, I am already 16 weeks pregnant.

Next check up will be one month down the road. The clinic is to busy and only can allocate 14 Feb, 4.30pm for me for 20 weeks detailed scanning. By then, if my child is co-operative, should be able to know the gender..May be I should ask the Dr not to tell us the gender and keep it as a secret..then it will turn up a surprise to us..hmm..will consider that..

Hopefully this round the labor time will be shorten by 3 quarters and I don't have to ask for epidural..praying very hard..I also pray for perservarance to breast feed my child for at least 6 months..so far, my 3 friends failed to perserveared to breast feed and gave up in two weeks time on breast feeding..I really think that they should try harder...I really thank God for Vera becauase for the past 20 months, I didn't have to take child sick leave where I really don't wish to take : ) Continue to pray for good health for her, my new child, my husband, my self and my mum :p

Vera is 2 weeks in full day child care!

For the first week, she only stayed in the centre for half a day. My mum helped me to fetch her after lunch. This week, 7 Jan 2008, for the first 2 days she stayed until she woke up from afternoon nap. Starting from Wednesday, my mum fetch her home at 6.30pm..She didn't cry anymore when she saw my mum when it's time to go home..she was cute and will turn back to say 'byebye' to the teachers.

She always ask for milk and rice when she comes back home. Not sure whether she ate very little in the centre. My mum said she saw her finished the portion given by the centre. It could be because she is happy and having many activities that used up a lot of her energy. I think its good for her. Her health, 2 weeks before she goes for child care, every night my mum will give her 1 capsule of supreme lingzi. So far, she is fine. No sight of flu, cough, fever etc..Thank God!
