Happy 2nd Birthday!

We celebrated her 2nd birthday in the church Sunday School. It was very fun and fruitful. She really knows that we were celebrating her birthday. A few pictures to share with you : )

She can sing many songs!

Last night, she slept at about 12 midnite. I am very tire. But still very happy to see her progression. She kept singing the ABC song to me. Last 2 weeks she sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star song. She also learned Happy Birthday song from the centre. Her rythm and tempo are correct. but the pronounciation is not accurate. She still unable to recognise all the letters and 1-10.

She is vocal!

Vera loves to chit chat with us..whenever we try to open a conversation with her..she will start to talk non stop. She usually will say the same topic over and over again and she wanted to converse in fast speed. Though some time we don't understand her but I still encourage her to talk and speak up.

Centre asks us to give her pull up paints..its double the price but we think that it's worth the investment. Once the toilet training is over and she can tell us when she wants to go toilet..forever we don't have to buy diaper for her..Teacher said that she already start telling her needs so it should be quite fast that she does not have to rely on diaper. I hate to wear diaper for her because during hot season she will have diaper rash on her buttock area..all becauase she sweat a lot..

Now, she can sing along twinkle twinkle little star, happy birthday song, Barney "I Love You" song and ABC song. Sometime, I notice that when she is alone playing toys, she will sing the song and I can tell that which song she is singing..Kids are really wonderful..though very tiring : )

False Alarm of HFMD!

As usual, we sent Vera to school. The centre called me at 11.30am on 5 May 2008, MOnday and requested me to bring Vera to check for HFMD again. So, no choice I have to arranged my mum to pick her up. At the same time, we brought her to the polyclinic next door. She was sleeping and tire when her turn of consultation after about 2 hours of waiting. The Dr straight away give her 10 days MC and said that she has HFMD.

To us, we did not believe that Vera was infected. However, as responsible mother, I called up the centre to inform and at the same time I informed Church. She was at the baby room and celebrated her 2 years old birthday with kids.

Yesterday was Thursday. I went to see Dr and brought her along and hopeful that Dr can check on her and certify her to be fit to return to school. Thank God that she is not infected. How could she get infected when there is no other cases happened in the centre so far. Dr gave me 2 days MC to rest at home and give her a letter to return to school on her birthday, 9 May 2008. I rang up and school and SMS church to inform. All are delighted that it was false alarm. Now the centre is cleared. Parents will be happy to send their kids back to school again.
