1 month old for Josiah

Given birth to Josiah Yong!

I went for routine check up on 24 June 2008 after my work, my last assignment before going for maternity leave is to conduct the new recruit briefing. I had severe pain at my lower part of my body a few days before delivery. I was not sure whether it was constraction pain..I stood up from chair at the office and could not walk for few seconds..too painful to walk..When I reached KK, it was 3.50pm..I waited for about an hour to consult Dr.. Dr said that I have already 4cm dilated. Must send to delivery suite immediately. It was 5pm in the evening. I didn't take dinner or more water and was sent to delivery suite directly. I decided to take epidural at 7pm as I worried that I don't have strength to push Josiah out of the birth canal. The pain came when it was about 10pm. We thought that 24 June 2008 was the day for Josiah. However, he was born on 25 June 2008, 0032, at 3515g, 50cm tall. The midwife suspected that Josiah is quite a big boy as I have tough time to push him out..The midwife was busy running 2 wards that day. I was handled by another midwife to my resting ward. I asked my hubby to go back at around 2am as the midwife told that he can't enter the ward at that hour.

Well, though the hours spent in delivery suite was shorter that Vera's birth. I still feel that it was very painful especially when it is time to really have to push the baby out of my body.

Today is 7 July 2008. almost 2 weeks after given birth to Josiah. I have fully recovered and quite refresh. It is so easy that i don't have to carry a big tummy and I feel my movement now is much easier..Thank God that Vera is fine when I am carrying Josiah, only that she does not allow daddy to carry Josiah..when she wakes up in the morning, she still look for me and wants me to go outside with her..

I thank God for His wonderful blessing and mercy upon my family. Pray that Jesus will equip us with parenting knowledge and wisdom so that they will be good girl and boy in His eyes : )
